It was a gamble for Eleanor to rejoin humanity, but she was driven to it. She’d been too successful forgetting. The last vestiges of her family hung by a thread in her transformed brain and drove her to be reckless. Ten years later, Eleanor hides in plain sight. She is an average girl getting average grades in a small Wyoming town: poor but happy, lonely but loved. Her mother, Tabitha, is there for her and that’s all she’s ever needed. But now her mother is sick and David has returned. The only friend she’d ever had, the only other person who knows her secret, is back. And Eleanor again becomes reckless.

Eleanor is a modest girl, unremarkable but extraordinary, young but old, malleable but fixed. She is scared and confused. She is a liar and a thief. Eleanor is not what she appears to be

                    My Thoughts

Paranormal meets Native american legends !

Eleanor is Paranormal at its best! I was so excited about this book when I read what it was about! Filled with Native American Folklore and legends, such as witches and skin walkers, it was a type of Paranormal novel that seemed logical and believable. I felt on edge the whole time as I found out what Eleanor was, and her journey so far to this point.

Personally I find this book is difficult to describe because I  feel that no description can give it justice and portray the seriousness of the characters and the situation, but I will try anyways....

Eleanor is a girl, though she has not always been that, it is who she chooses to be now. Her past and what is she is a great secret.  Eleanor's real parents died when she was young before they could fully explain things that she needed to know. The only person who truly knows who she is and what she is, is her foster mother Tabitha. However Tabitha is dying, and with social services threatening to take her away, Eleanor's future is very uncertain. She has never been able to trust anyone with her secret before aside from Tabitha, but David, her friend since she was in third grade, seems to be catching on. More than ever Eleanor needs someone she can trust, but can she allow her self to trust David is the question.

I was so very excited to read Eleanor, It was different from any other Paranormal book I have read. I love it, and can't wait to find out what happens next . I will be impatiently waiting for book 2 in the Unseen Series!

Plot : Amazing, I have never read anything in the paranormal realm that dabbled in Native American Folklore ! Very original. LOVED !!!

Characters: They all felt so real and genuine ! From Eleanor to David, Tabitha, Mrs. Venn... even all the way to the students and teachers at school. The Characters were very well developed.

Cover: beautiful and mysterious. I loved the cover!
