it's almost
time for war.

Juliette has escaped to Omega Point. It is a place for people like her—people with gifts—and it is also the headquarters of the rebel resistance.

She's finally free from The Reestablishment, free from their plan to use her as a weapon, and free to love Adam. But Juliette will never be free from her lethal touch.

Or from Warner, who wants Juliette more than she ever thought possible.

In this exhilarating sequel to Shatter Me, Juliette has to make life-changing decisions between what she wants and what she thinks is right. Decisions that might involve choosing between her heart—and Adam's life.

               My Thoughts

Never have I ever wavered on boy teams...until now!

I fell in love with the Shatter Me series from the very beginning, and obviously like most, I was gun hoe for Team Adam, I mean really was there ever really another option?... Then I read Destroy Me, the short Novella from Warners POV and I was like "Ok, I see what your trying to do here, he has a heart deep down inside but I'm not interested!" I was still pulling for Adams team. Now, all of a sudden after Unravel Me, something happened, and now I care about Warner and ..... I kinda wouldn't mind that senerio playing out.. gosh, I can't believe I actually said that! Can't Juliette be with both of them!... So, now that I have ironed out my boy drama lets get back to the story.

We start out in Omega Point where Castle is trying to get Juliette to hone in on her abilities. Juliette has a very difficult time "fitting in"and frankly I don't blame her. With everything going on ( Don't want to spoil it for you ) Adam and Juliette's relationship has become estranged. Kenji is called to partner up with Juliette and help her out of her mental hole, so to speak, and help focus her attention on preparing for the impending battle. Kenji really was a MVP character in Unravel Me. I don't remember him being as valuable in Shatter Me, but he really has developed into a key player.

Again, I don't want to give away any spoilers , but I will say that Juliette is forced to spend a lot of time with Warner, for the greater good of Omega Point, and boy did I enjoy all of that! I think this was CRUCIAL for me to slowly wither over to team Warner. During these scenes I felt like I really got to understand him a lot better, and saw that maybe there is a heart in him after all.

Unravel me is action packed and definitely does not suffer from the oh so common, second book syndrome. I enjoyed learning about everyones abilities and seeing people put them to use. The war that we have been preparing for stars at the end of the novel, The Ending is very shocking, the casualties are unimaginable, and I am dying for February to get my hand on Ignite Me!

Plot : maybe a little light in the beginning, but quickly picked up and really kept me going.

Characters: Kenji was a great character that I felt really developed in this novel as well as Warner.

Cover: Awesome, fits in flawlessly with the other books and novellas in the series.

You might like: X-Men, Hunger Games, Jenny Pox

Rating: 5 Stars !

  1. I read Unravel Me 2 or 3 weeks ago and I agree on all points! I was firmly Team Adam in Shatter Me, kind of started to see Warner as an actual person in Destroy Me (doesn't really excuse anything he did though) and then started to tip to the other side during Unravel Me. I think Warner sees a side of Juliette that Adam is blind to. Urgh the wait for Ignite Me is killing me >.<

  2. Loved Warner so much in this! It totally brought me over to his team :) I agree, Kenji was pivotal in this, and he was fantastic. I can't wait for more of him in Ignite Me. And more of Warner + Juliette! I don't like Adam anymore after reading his novella, Fracture Me.
Great review, and not too long for Ignite Me now!

  3. *pulls you over to Team 62* Welcome to the dark side! ;D I've always been in Warner's team because I find him so much more interesting than Adam. I'm really excited to re-read this before Ignite Me comes out!

  4. Ooh nice review! Hearing that this second book kind of kicks things into gear! The first one I felt just so-so about, but it seems things definitely pick up between the novella and this one! Can't wait for my copies to arrive! Looking like I might try slipping them into the reading schedule that first week of March, maybe. Glad this was a great read! Great review!
